This important noninvasive technique provides detailed information on morphology and flow pattern. Doppler ultrasound allows detection of haemodynamically significant lesions in patients with lower extremity artery disease and selection of the appropriate lesions for endovascular procedures. This method is also useful for the routine follow-up after angioplasty, stent implantation, and bypass graft [1,2].

The Arterial Pattern of Terminal Branch of the Abdominal Aorta in the Male Persian Squirrel (Sciurus Anomalus)
Introduction: The Persian squirrel (Sciurus anomalus) is considered the only well-known species of the family Sciuridae in the Middle East. Since some people keep this squirrel as a domestic pet, their attendance at veterinary clinics is increasing. So far, no study has been conducted on the arterial supply of the pelvic cavity and limb in the squirrel. Hence, this research was performed to fil...
متن کاملConcomitant bilateral popliteal arterial aneurysm and abdominal aortic aneurysm in a case with severe occlusive disease of lower extremity
Results Color Doppler ultrasound revealed bilateral popliteal arterial aneurysm of 2-2.5 cm. Computed tomographic angiography showed a fusiform aneurysmal dilation of the abdominal aorta with a largest diameter of 38 mm. Left superficial femoral artery was totally occluded and the graft was patent. There was a high-grade stenosis at the site of proximal anastomosis. Both popliteal arteries show...

STUDY OBJECTIVES To examine the association of occult atherosclerosis of carotid, femoral, and popliteal arteries with the presence and severity of obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients without a history or presence of cerebrovascular or peripheral arterial disease using ultrasound examination of peripheral arteries. PATIENTS/METHODS One hundred eighty-four such individuals un...
متن کاملCystic Adventitial Disease Of The Common Femoral Artery: A Case Report And Literature Review
Introduction: Cystic adventitial disease (CAD) most commonly affects the popliteal artery and few reports indicate that it may also be found in the external iliac and common femoral arteries. Case Presentation: We report the case of a 56-year-old female patient with a history of long distance right calf claudication found to have CAD of the right common femoral artery (CFA) and proximal profund...
متن کاملTreatment of bilateral popliteal artery and right anterior tibial artery aneurysm with endovascular stent grafting
Methods A 67-year-old woman presented to our clinic with pain at the back of bilateral knee joints. Physical examination showed manually palpable distal arterial pulses and a pulsatile mass at bilateral popliteal fossae. Arterial Doppler ultrasonography revealed bilateral popliteal arterial aneurysms. Multislice computerized tomography showed an aneurysm starting from distal femoral artery and ...
